Best known for: Pushing Daises- The award winning, quirky, Tim Burton-meets-CSI comedy was never given the chance to build a solid audience. Sadly, it never recovered from the 2007 Writer's Strike (its first season only had 9 episodes) and was canceled by ABC before the completion of its second season. Pace was nominated for an Emmy and a Golden Globe for his lead role as Ned the Piemaker.
About: An Oklahoma native and Julliard graduate, 32 year old Lee Pace is an actor eternally stuck on the sidelines. He started off strong, garnering a Golden Globe nomination playing a transgender night club dancer in the critically acclaimed Soldier's Girl. Since then he's been attached to two prematurely canceled shows (Wonder Falls, Pushing Daisies), had a few small supporting roles (A Single Man, When in Rome, Miss Pettigrew Lives for a Day) and starred in several straight to dvd or limited release films (Possession, The Fall). It's frustrating to watch an actor of his caliber continue to fly under the radar for so long but hopefully his new high profile roles will bring him the recognition he deserves.
Must watch performance: The severely underrated 2006 Tarsem Singh visual masterpiece, The Fall. Pace stars in a role of a lifetime as the depressed and paralyzed stunt man Roy Walker in this touching fantasy based drama.

Up next: Pace has landed roles in two highly anticipated films; as the Elf King Thranduil in Peter Jackson's The Hobbit and as Vampire Garrett in the final installment of the Twilight series, Breaking Dawn.
