Release date: August 22, 2014 (limited)
Rating: 1hr 34min
Run time: R
Directed by: Ira Sachs
Starring: John Lithgow, Alfred Molina, Marisa Tomei,
Synopsis: "After Ben and George get married, George is fired from his teaching post, forcing them to stay with friends separately while they sell their place and look for cheaper housing -- a situation that weighs heavily on all involved."--IMDb.com
Why it looks worth seeing: Lithgow and Molina are powerhouse performers and thats reason enough to be interested. But, the story looks like a fascinating one to see regardless of its stars. Hollywood doesn't make enough films that explore romantic relationships between people that don't fall into the 20-something year old, washboard abs category. Not to sound like my mother here but there are some valuable life lessons that can only be learned with age and experience. Its time we gave these kinds of stories their proper due.
