Yes, the dialogue is ridiculous. Yes, the characters give lots of obnoxiously long winded speeches. Yes, the show is a kind of condescending. Yes, it's not very self aware. But my god, do I love it. Even though most journalists seem to take a kind of sick pleasure in obsessively shitting on The Newsroom (like here, here, here, and here) every "regular" person I know that watches it, loves it. I'm devastated that this is the last season, but I'm excited to see what happens with these lovable, self righteous assholes (<3).
